Trail of the Jotunheim
Welcome to a hike that will lead you to a national park of great scenic beauty - an area of which have inspired many an artist to do astonishing works. Painters such as Hans Gude and poets such as Henrik Ibsen (Peer Gynt, Brandt) have all found motivation in these parts of the Norwegian wilderness. You will be walking in their footsteps through an area packed with history, culture and the wonders of mother nature. The hike starts in Norways capital Oslo, and follows Rondanestien north up to Rudskampen, where the two trails departs in different directions. Further along it follows Mjøsa and continues north until we head inland towards Jotunheimen and Gjendesheim. Whether you choose to walk the whole trail or only parts of it - it will be a journey to remember, it may even inspire you and your friends to achieve great things. |
